All set for ‘Dharma porata deeksha’ today

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is expected to take the YSR Congress Party head on by choosing Kadapa district, the bastion of YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, for its flagship protest programme ‘Dharma porata deeksha’, which is all set for Tuesday. It is also widely expected that the party will make a crucial announcement pertaining to the Kadapa steel plant.

Proddatur town is abuzz with activity ahead of the programme, where TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will take part in the protest programme targeting the Central government for letting down the State on all fronts.

District Minister Adinarayana Reddy, Collector Ch. Hari Kiran, Superintendent of Police Attada Babujee inspected the municipal ground on Monday, taking stock of the logistical and security arrangements for the VIP visit. The party has pulled all stops to mobilise crowd and expects more than one lakh people to converge at the venue.

According to the itinerary, Mr. Naidu will reach Proddatur by 2 p.m., unveil a plaque at the Gandikota reservoir and then participate in the deeksha.

Party president R. Srinivasa Reddy, Member of Parliament C.M. Ramesh and whip M.V. Mallikarjuna Reddy are leaving no stone unturned to make the event a success.
