HYDERABAD:  TRS leader and Irrigation Minister in the caretaker government, T Harish Rao alleged that the Congress had become an “ulta-pulta” party by threatening to repeal all the existing schemes.

Addressing Congress workers from Andole Assembly segment, who joined TRS in his presence at Telangana Bhavan here on Monday, Harish Rao said that the Congress leaders have recently issued statements that they would scrap Yadadri power plant, Kalyan Lakshmi, Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) and Rythu Bandhu.

“One Congress leader even issued a statement that the Congress, if voted to power, would stop ‘drunk drive’ checks. Perhaps, Congress wants more drunken drive cases in order to kill people in road accidents,” Harish Rao said.

The TRS leaders also criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his opposition to the Kaleshwaram project.
