US Made, EU Tuned: 2018 Mustang GT Gets Supercharged To 680 HP By Wolf Racing

The sixth generation Ford Mustang continues to sell like hotcakes in Europe, and certain tuners want a piece of the pie.

Wolf Racing is one of them, and it has a bundle of upgrades aimed at the facelifted muscle car, including a supercharger kit.

Available for the Coupe and Cabriolet versions of the Ford Mustang GT, it takes the 5.0-liter V8 engine and tunes it to a very impressive 690 PS (680 hp / 507 kW) and 790 Nm (583 lb-ft) of torque.

That’s 240 PS (237 hp / 177 kW) and 261 Nm (193 lb-ft) of torque more than the stock car. Thus, Wolf Racing’s supercharged Mustang GT sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4.0 seconds and can hit a top speed in excess of 320 km/h (199 mph).

For the supercharger kit, which comes with a 2-year comprehensive warranty, the tuner is asking €15,990 ($18,229) in Germany, or just a few thousands less than a used, low-mileage Mustang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine.

Supporting the extra muscle is a stainless steel flap control exhaust system, with twin 114 mm (4.5 in) tailpipes, which enhances the soundtrack at the push of a button.

Also, a new coilover suspension brings the ‘Stang closer to the ground, for €1,489 ($1,697), and works best with larger wheels, in this case 9×21 inches at the front and 10.5×21 inches at the rear.

The rims come in two different patterns and can be offered with complete tire sets. The front ones cost €359/€549 ($409/$626), and the rears will set customers back €439/€595 ($500/$678).
