Fire burning south of Queanbeyan extinguished
Fire crews extinguished a small grass fire south of Queanbeyan on Tuesday.
NSW Fire and Rescue were called to Waterfall Drive, Jerrabomberra, just after 1pm following reports of a fire.
The crew reported a 100 metre by 50 metre slow moving grass fire in the valley opposite Waterfall Drive.
The fire was extinguished shortly after 3pm and did not pose any threats to property.
The fire danger rating was raised to "very high" on Tuesday, with temperatures predicted to rise to close to 30 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting tops of 31 and 32 on Wednesday and Thursday.
