1/8The clan of bibliophiles
What Juliet was to Romeo, books are to bibliophiles. There is an uncanny love that they have for books which only this clan of bibliophiles can relate to. Some are possessive and a few love to flaunt; but book lovers across the globe share similar habits that connect them despite different languages, religion and countries. They all live in a different world where the world of books is the only thing that entices them and all of them speak a similar language -- their undying love for books. 2/8Judging someone by their bookshelf
Not that bibliophiles are judging your character by the books you flaunt or talk about, but they are definitely judging your mental ability candidly. All book lovers share a habit of judging someone’s mindset or ability to deal with situations by the kind of books they read. You don’t agree? Notice the expressions on their face next time when you mention that you are not a Harry Potter fan or did not like 'The Da Vinci Code' and you will see what we mean. 3/8Lying about not owning the book because you do not want to share
‘Joey doesn’t share food’ and possessive booklovers don’t share their books. Their bookshelf is their pride and the books are no less than any prized possession. Possessive book lovers can come up with the most weird lies when it comes to lending books. They cannot imagine someone else’s fingers running through the pages. Call them finicky or possessive, but there is nothing that can convince them to lend even one book from their bookshelf. 4/8Being there on the first day of the book release
They can drive long kilometres and wait in never-ending queues to grab the copy of that latest book launch by their favourite author. There is something about grabbing the copy on the first day of its release, ask these possessive booklovers. 5/8Crying when the book finishes
And they do not cry because it was an emotional story but because the journey with the fictional character has ended. Sounds strange but it is true. This emotion is expressed when the reader loved the book so much that they don't want it to end. It is because they form a relationship with the environment of the book and it hurts when the bond has to end.
