Paul Pogba has shown his sense of humour after mocking his own penalty technique after he was heavily criticised following Manchester United’s victory over Everton.

The World Cup winner took 26 steps and seemed to take an age before finally taking the spot kick which was kept out by Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Pogba admitted he was lucky as he put away the rebound after Pickford had parried it back out and says he may look to change his style in the future.

And despite the stick he has taken for his run up, which took longer than it takes Usain Bolt to run 100m, the midfielder has seen the humorous side report the MEN.

The 25-year-old posted a video of himself getting in his car ahead of training where he mimicked his penalty run up before getting in his car and put in the caption: ‘How do I get to my car.’

And the fans who commented on the post seemed to love it based on the amount of laughing emojis they replied with.

The France international explained the reasoning behind his bizarre run up after the win. I always try to destabilise the goalkeeper,” Pogba told Sky Sports after the match.

“I always shoot like this and that’s how I know how to take penalties.

“I may practise to change it because maybe the goalkeepers are starting to know my steps, but the most important thing is when the ball goes in.

“Today, I was lucky, but the most important thing is that the ball went in and I scored a goal. It was good for us and it was good for me. Then after, we carried on and had other chances. But the most important thing was the win today.”
