Bride and Prejudice star Fatima shocked viewers on Monday after reducing her son Seyat's fiancée Jess to tears by saying she 'dresses like a prostitute'.

Jess' future mother-in-law also branded the 21-year-old a 'slutty party girl' and a 'whore' that doesn't deserve to marry her son.

However, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that social media photos of Jess 'partying' are surprisingly tame compared to those shared by other young women her age.

While Jess may be fond of the occasional flirty outfit, photos shared to Instagram show she is comparatively demure compared to other reality TV stars.

Perhaps the most 'raunchy' photo of Jess circulating online shows her wearing a stylish pair of lace-up trousers while posing with her fiancé Seyat.

Other images feature her holding cigarettes while partying with female friends - but they are hardly a cause for parental concern.

The second season of Bride and Prejudice was billed as 'the most controversial' reality show of the year ahead of its premiere this week.

And the Channel Seven show certainly lived up to its bold claim on Monday.

The series introduced Fatima as one of Australia's 'meanest mother-in-laws', and she shocked viewers by cruelly insulting Jess until she broke down in tears.

Fatima is firmly against her 19-year-old son's engagement, believing he is too young to marry Jess.

She also believes that Jess is promiscuous and an unsuitable match for Seyat. 

'Jess is very dirty. Disgusting. She smells like cats!' Fatima raged .'I believe Jess is a slutty party girl. I don't want my son to date a whore like that.'

She later claimed that Jess 'dresses like a prostitute' and didn't fit in with her family's Macedonian culture.

Later in the episode, when Seyat and Jess broke the news to his parents that they're getting married, Fatima launched into a scathing verbal attack.

Jess eventually fled the scene in tears, but Fatima showed no remorse.

'It won't last,' she said bitterly. 'She's not for Seyat. I feel like she's always using Seyat, she's always sooking to him... she's got no idea of anything!'

Mother from hell! 'I'm gonna cancel your wedding,' Fatima said. 'I'll do something to destroy it!'

'She's got no personality and she's never happy! She's always upset. Seyat's life was better before. He's always home now, he's put on weight.'

Fatima went even further, criticising Jess' cleaning skills and saying 'she's not like the girls in our culture. She's different.'

After Fatima's tirade, Jess fled inside to her bedroom where she broke down crying.

'She didn't have to be so harsh,' Jess wept. 'She just sits there like I'm nobody, like I'm not worth anything. Like she has the right to make me out to be somebody that I'm not.

'That's not something someone should do. Especially not a mother, not somebody that's supposed to be mature.'
