BENGALURU: A 21-year-old supervisor of a private company was stabbed to death by a security guard at the office premises on Lavelle Road under Cubbon Park police station limits on Monday. Tension prevailed in the area following the incident. The deceased Pradeep B, a native  KGF in Kolar, was working in Cinerama Pvt Ltd, a film production company. The accused Bijoy Biswas (21), hails from Agartala in Tripura.

A senior police officer said the duo had joined the company two years ago and often quarrelled over shifts. Pradeep was allegedly harassing Biswas as he often came late to work and reportedly was not working properly. 

On Monday around 1.30 pm, Pradeep started abusing Biswas, and in a fit of rage Biswas took out a knife from his pocket and stabbed Pradeep twice in the chest and stomach. Other employees who noticed the incident, rushed Pradeep to a nearby hospital, but he was declared brought dead. Passers-by alerted the police control room and Hoysala police rushed to the spot and nabbed Biswas while he tried to escape. 
Police are interrogating Biswas to know the motive for the crime.
