A Division Bench of Justices M.M. Sundresh and N. Sathish Kumar of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Monday ordered status quo in the cutting down and auctioning of seemai karuvelam and karuvelam trees in Sivaganga district after it was alleged that the residents of Muthur, who filed a petition, were not allowed to participate in the auction.
