LDF to protest attack on swami
tnn | Oct 29, 2018, 23:53 ISTThiruvananthapuram: LDF will organize a convention at Kundamankadavu here on Tuesday to protest against the attack on the ashram of spiritual leader Swami Sandeepanananda Giri, who advocated women entry to Sabarimala. CPM state sectreatry Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran will attend the convention.
Meanwhile, police are yet to make any breakthrough in the case or trace the culprits.
LDF has decided to make the most of the situation in its campaign against Sangh Parivar and RSS. The CPM leaders have alleged that it was the handiwork of the saffron brigade. The CPM leaders, led by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan himself, had rushed to the ashram soon after the incident to pledge their support to SandeepanandaGiri.
The spiritual leader also echoed a similar sentiment and had blamed Sangh Parivar forces. “Their (culprits) intention is see my end. This is not because I took a stand against the Sangh Parivar. There were attacks against me earlier too,” he said while speaking to media here on Monday.
He also alleged conspiracy. “The attackers were aware that the CCTV cameras are defunct and there is no security at the ashram,” he added.
