Two minor girls have escaped from a short stay home in Bihar’s Khagaria district, officials said on Monday. The facility is run by an NGO and is funded by the government.
Following the Muzaffarpur shelter home sex scandal, where over 30 inmates were allegedly raped, girls from shelter homes in different districts in Bihar were transferred to the short stay home here, official sources said. The two were among five girls brought from Vaishali in August.
