NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Power index was trading 1.51 per cent up at 1,935.12 around 12:25 pm on Monday with most of its components trading in the green. Shares of Tata Power Company (up 15.81 per cent) , Adani Power (up 9.15 per cent) , Torrent Power (up 4.67 per cent) , Adani Transmission (up 4.41 per cent) and Reliance Infrastructure (up 4.26 per cent) , were the top gainers in the index.
JSW Energy (up 3.61 per cent) , KEC International (up 2.67 per cent) and GMR Infrastructure (up 2.58 per cent) too were among the top performers.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 72.75 points at 10,102.75 while BSE Sensex was up 236.18 points at 33,585.49 at that time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Ambuja Cements, Reliance Communications, Axis Bank, Kwality, JP Associates, Adani Power, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Equitas Holdings, Tata Power, BEL, Suzlon Energy, PNB, Dewan Housing, Edelweiss Finance, SBI and South Indian Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
