Fake call centre busted in Bhayander

A police team from the Kashi Mira police station had raided the premises of Nichel Global Solutions at CR Arcade two weeks ago. At that time, they had found that employees of the centre were in possession of credit card details of American citizens.

The police on Monday sealed a call centre in Bhayander for allegedly operating without an authorisation from the Department of Telecommunications.

A team of officers from the Kashi Mira police station supervised by Atul Kulkarni, DSP, Bhayander Division, and Shantaram Walvi, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Mira Road, had raided the premises of Nichel Global Solutions at CR Arcade on Mira Road two weeks ago.

At that time, the police had found that employees of the call centre were in possession of credit card details of American citizens. The police suspect that employees were making phone calls to American nationals, procuring additional bank details and using the information to make online transactions.
