Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister and the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president Om Prakash Rajbhar Saturday slammed the BJP government and alleged that instead of talking about the poor and backwards, the BJP is focusing only on mandir and masjids. Rajbhar was speaking at a public rally at the Ramabai Ambedkar ground in Lucknow on the 16th foundation day of his party.
“It is being discussed widely that even after being in the government, Om Prakash Rajbhar opposes it. People should know that I am not anybody’s slave. I have come here to fight for the poor and not to toe the line of the BJP. I am not here to taste power. Many governments have come and gone since independence, but no one talks about the people, who bring them to power,” Rajbhar said while addressing the rally.
“I do not want mandir or masjid. I want education (for the people) and only then the nation can grow. When I say this, they think I am opposing the government… There are 3,18,000 teacher vacancies in 1,59,000 primary schools. No government thinks about the betterment of primary schools,” Rajbhar added.
