One-day state-level research presentation competition held in city

PUNE: All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s College of Pharmacy organised one-day State-level research presentation competition ‘SYNAPSE 2018’ on October 16. 

More than 100 delegates, including, undergraduate and postgraduate students from various institutions in Maharashtra attended and participated in the Research Presentation Competition. 

Ratnakar Mehendre, Director of Research and Development, SRS Life Sciences, SS Pisal, Director of Research and Development, Serum Institute (I) Ltd, Pune, Akshay Charegaonkar, Director, of M/s Anchrom, Mumbai, Sunil Korde, Manager of Quality Control, Serum Institute (I) Ltd, Pune, Amit Kandhare, Manager of Scientific Affairs, Indus Biotech Pvt Ltd, Pune, Ashwini Sathaye, pharma consultant, Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Secretary of AISSM Society and Nikhil Khanse, Chairman of College Development Committee, Principal Ashwini Madgulkar were present at the event. 

The ‘Synapse 2018 Abstracts Book’ was released by judges at this competition. All the delegates also got an opportunity to listen to a session on ‘Communication Skills’ by Manoj Vanjari, Director, Fantabeans Learning Solutions, Pune.

During the scientific sessions, students from 65 teams delivered their research presentations in front of the evaluators. In the valedictory session, the best presenters of oral presentations from UG and PG category were awarded cash prizes, mementos and certificates. 

AISSMS College of Pharmacy, Pune bagged first and second prize from UG category. The best oral presentation with first prize and second prize from PG category was won by Vivekananda Education Society’s College of Pharmacy, Chembur, Mumbai and Dr DY Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Pimpri.
