Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Sanjay Mishra has been given the additional charge of Enforcement Directorate(ED) Director, apart from being appointed as the Principal Special Director in the same agency.
He will serve as the interim director for a period of three months. He was appointed by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), till the appointment of regular incumbent.
Mishra is a 1984-batch IRS officer of the Income Tax cadre and will take over from Karnal Singh, whose tenure at the ED ends on October 28.
