According to reports, some men of a local political leader allegedly tried to encroach the hospital property by demolishing a building and cutting green trees on the premises four days ago. Ballia MP Bharat Singh raised the issue demanding protection of hospital property and action against the encroachers. He said that he wrote letters to all higher authorities, including the Prime Minister, chief minister, health minister, UP governor, Ballia DM, SP and commissioner in this regard.

“It is unfortunate and serious matter that the hospital land is being encroached by some political leaders,” said Singh.

“Explanation has been sought from the CHC superintendent and FIR has been lodged against the persons involved in it,” said the DM.

He added that the officials have been asked to put a notice board on the premises displaying the property owner name. He said that the land is the property of the CHC, and if anybody claims over it he should go to the court for the same.

Bairia SO Gaganraj Singh said that an FIR has been lodged against Janeshar Singh, Amit Verma and unknown persons under Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. The matter is being investigated and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
