Car catches fire, driver escapes unhurt
TNN | Oct 28, 2018, 00:39 ISTCoimbatore: A 20-year-old college student had a miraculous escape after the car he was driving caught fire at Thottipalayam Pirivu on Avinashi Road on Friday night.
He was identified as V Saminathan of Idaiyankattuvalasu in Erode district, a student of PSG College of Arts and Science.
Peelamedu fire station had received a call about the incident around 10.15pm. Fire officer M Muthukumarasamy and team were able to reach the spot within eight minutes and extinguished the fire. The front portion of the The Hyundai i20 was partially gutted. It was owned by Sivaram, Saminathan’s grandfather.
