HYDERABAD: After being harassed by his friends, a 21-year-old son of a Police Transport Organisation employee committed suicide in Vanasthalipuram, on Thursday. 

The victim identified as B Nawab immolated himself at HUDA layout on Thursday afternoon and succumbed to burn injuries in the night. 

According to police, Nawab left a note stating that his friends Rakesh, Nikhil, Shivasai and Ayyappa harassed him to take this extreme step.

The police said all the youth have failed in intermediate examinations. 
According to police, a month ago, in Nawab’s absence, the four youngsters purchased some products from a supermarket and made payment through a fake Paytm ID. Later, when the original users confronted them, they began to threaten Nawab saying that the fake Paytm was created in his name and he will be caught by the cops. They started extorting money from him saying his father would lose his job over this.
