Richard Rugimbana, TCT Executive Secretary particularly game viewing is still considerably pricey to the common Tanzanians and urges the authorities to review them.
Rugimbana stated that even the very word “utalii” in Kiswahili has an appalling connotation –“loitering, roaming about”. While mentioning instances, Rugimbana stated that ordinary people are more interested to ridicule officials on visit by saying “Anataliitu”.
TCT Chief Executive Officer, who carried on several comprehensive tourism related studies with support from BEST-Dialogue, challenges, stakeholders to find ways of clearing the misconception associated to the word “Utalii”.
Rugimbana on preserving tourist attractions stated that the natural assets related to Tanzania tourism experienced a downward trend as a result of man-made destruction.
