Man in Custody in Connection to 12 Suspicious Packages

Authorities arrested a man believed to be connected to making 12 suspicious packages mailed to high-profile Democrats.

That's according to CNN.

This news comes after two potentially dangerous packages were found Friday morning.

One package, addressed to Democratic Sen.

Cory Booker, was found at a mail facility in Florida.

The other was addressed to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and was found at a Manhattan mail processing center.  Both reportedly look similar to the 10 other packages  mailed in manila  envelopes to high-profile individuals who have been critical of President Trump.

The pipe bombs inside were also reportedly consistent.

CNN reports  federal agents believe some of the packages went through a U.S. Postal Service processing center in Florida.

They started searching the facility Thursday for clues about the sender.

This all started when a suspicious package was found Monday at the home of George Soros, a billionaire philanthropist and Democratic supporter.

Authorities then intercepted suspicious packages addressed to former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Shortly after, the Time Warner Center, home to CNN, was evacuated due to a package addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan.

Actor Robert De Niro and former Vice President Joe Biden were among the other intended recipients of similar packages.
