A police team took him to the canal where the body was dumped and conducted a search operation to find it.
A 25-year-old has been arrested by the Crime Branch for allegedly killing a man over affair with his minor sister, police said. The accused was arrested from Bawana. Officers are now on the lookout for three other accused.
“The accused works as a DJ in the locality,” said a police officer.
Police said the accused abducted the victim, took him to a house and assaulted him for hours before taking him to Sonipat, where two more people joined them.
“The victim was then taken to another friend’s house in Sonipat and the group beat him. They made videos of the assault and strangled him. They dumped his body in a canal after burning his car,” said DCP (crime branch) AK Singhla.
In one of the videos, the victim can be seen bleeding while an accused says: “This is your report. Now speak.” The victim then replies, “I was standing next to my car when two other people in another car came and beat me. Their faces were covered…”
After the accused confessed, a police team took him to the canal where the body was dumped and conducted a search operation to find it.
Police initially treated it as a kidnapping case, but later found that the victim was in a relationship with a minor girl, the sister of the accused.
“The victim was travelling… with the girl. He dropped her near her house, after which they intercepted his vehicle,” Singhla said.
