HYDERABAD: Blaming the Centre for weakening the credibility of democratic institutions in its four-and-a-half year rule, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi termed the removal of CBI Director Alok Verma as “unconstitutional.”
Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Owaisi, said: “I have faith that the Supreme Court would give relief to the CBI director as his dismissal is a violation Section 4 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act.
I want to know which section did CVC use to remove him.” Verma was exiled into leave in a coup, after which new CBI head M Nageshwar Rao took charge.
