Ambala police conduct counselling session for gunmen deployed with VIPs

AMBALA: A few days after the murder of the wife and the son of a judge in Gurugram, Haryana DGP has ordered to conduct counselling of all the police gunmen in the state.
Following the orders, a counseling session was conducted by the Ambala police where all the appointed gunmen were called by the department for providing necessary guidelines while on duty with the judges or very important persons (VIPs).
The counseling was conducted by a member of Lok Adalat and psychology specialist Dr Kuldeep Singh in which nearly 30 gunmen promptly put forward the problems faced by them while on duty with judges and VIPs.
After listening to the problems, Dr Kuldeep urged the senior police officials to constitute a policy after sharing the problems with the government in this regard and he also urged the gunmen that if they face any sought of problems while on duty, then they must share them with the senior officials. Dr Kuldeep added that the problems of the gunmen should be heard and their feelings should also be respected.
assistant superintendent of police, Chander Mohan said, “All the gunmen deployed with judges and other VIPs were called for the counseling where a specialist was also called to provide guidelines to the police personnel and also to listen to their grievances. The initiative has been a successful one and this will help in providing better protection to the judges and VIPs. The purpose of this counseling is to reduce the mental stress of the gunmen one duty.”
According to the police sources, the gunmen will be changed after completion of a one-year tenure which will also reduce their stress level.
