Call-to-Action: A startup to provide health and nutritional services to destitutes

Lucknow: A health seminar regarding RMNCH+A and nutritional values was organised at Hotel Hyatt in Lucknow, last Tuesday.

Cabinet Minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi, addressed the event by bringing up the grave issues such as mother and infant mortality rates and malnutrition prevalent among poors and children.

She also urged the present dignitaries to take serious measures to curb such issues in every village of Uttar Pradesh.

Excise Department Minister from Siddharthnagar Jay Pratap Singh gave account on the health related services in his area and discussed about the statics of the same.

The health programme was organised by Global Health Strategies (GHS), an international NGO.

GHS has been carrying out awareness campaigns about RMNCH+A and nutritional values  in every village of UP for four years.

According to National Family Health Survey-4, the health of mother-infant and youngsters has been improved over the years.

Uttar Pradesh still lacks behind in health care services and will have to travel a long distance for the betterment of Upites health.
