On Tuesday night, a 19-year-old boy was thrown out of a moving train after an argument escalated with a fellow commuter. The boy was kicked out of a moving train between Kalwa and Mumbra. According to the Maharashtra Times, the victim was identified as Jasir Shaikh (19) and is resident of Mumbra. The 19-year-old works in Grant Road area. The boy boarded a fast train from Dadar to Thane. And later boarded a Badlapur slow train at 10.30 p.m.
Senior Police Inspector Rajesh Shitrode told the Hindu, “While boarding the train, a fellow commuter accused the boy of stepping on his feet. The argument escalated and the accused kicked him off the train.” The boy has sustained injuries to his head but is in stable condition. The boy informed the police that the accused who kicked him out of the train was drunk. The Thane Railway Police had registered an FIR against an unknown person and is investigating the matter.
