1. Blow drying from too wet
Top of Anthony's list of errors made by many a woman is drying your strands from too wet.
'One of the biggest mistakes I see is people blow drying and brushing their hair without shaking out the excess moisture,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
'Ideally, you need to get at least 80 per cent of the moisture out before starting with your hairdryer.'
Anthony added that not only will this help to protect your hair somewhat, but it will also shorten the length of time you need to dry your hair, giving you longer in bed in the morning.

2. Using too many styling products
While it might seem counter-intuitive, when it comes to product, the less you use, the longer your style will hold.
'Too much product can ruin your blow dry by making the roots oily and the hair flat,' Anthony said.
If you want to nail the perfect style, the hairdresser - who has looked after the likes of Cate Blanchett's hair in the past - recommended a volume spray for 'extra kick' on the roots when damp, or a sheen spray like Oribe's Shine Light Reflecting Spray.
'You can always add, but you can never take away,' he said.
A heat protecting stray is also an essential for the hair cuticles.

3. Blow drying all the hair, rather than sections
If you're guilty of attacking your hair en masse with the hairdryer, it's time to quit - now.
'A section by section approach is what you need to execute for faster blow drying,' Anthony said.
'Take horizontal sections across your scalp (approximately three to four sections in total), and start at the back as this is the most difficult area and the one that is most likely to make your arms tired.'
The stylist recommends you finish around the face, which you can see clearly.
4. Avoiding a nozzle
'Attaching a nozzle to the end of your hairdryer is one of the best things you can do for your blow dry,' explained Anthony.
'It targets the surface of he hair, so your strands look more polished and appear smooth and shiny.'
If you have dry or lacklustre hair, this will especially work a treat.
5. Drying on too high of a heat
Lastly, while drying your hair on too high of a heat is time efficient, blow drying on too high of a heat is extremely harmful to your hair.
'All of that excess heat just frazzles your poor thirsty strands, making them just snap off,' Anthony said.
He said that you should keep in mind that the more heat you expose to your strands, the 'more dehydrated and brittle your hair will become'.
