KOCHI: Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar accorded a grand reception to the teachersand students of Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School and The Judd School,Kent UK as part of its ‘Programme of Education and Cultural Exchange (PEACE) - 2018’.

The programme started with the address of welcome delivered by Remadevi K P Vice Principal followed by Presidential address by C A Venugopal C Govind, chairman Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kochi Kendra, address by the chief guest Gopakumar, founder of PEACE, self introduction by the members from the UK team , felicitations by Grinson George, secretary ABS. Kym Ceurvorst, head teacher from TunBridge Wells Girls Grammar School, Kent UK addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Rakhi R Varma , teacher, Department of English .

The UK PEACE team members arrived at Thiruvananthapuram on October 19 and will be leaving on November 2. During their stay they will be taken to places of ancient historical importance that covers Thiruvananthapuram, Alleppey and Kochi.
