The Indian real estate sector has emerged as the country’s second largest employer and is slated to grow at 30 per cent over the next decade, said Farook Mahmood, Founder President and Vice-Chairman, NAR-India.
Addressing the National Assocation of Realtors (NAR) – India’s 10th Annual Convention 2018, Mahmood said cities like Bengaluru are expected to play a crucial role in furthering the growth of the sector.
Advising developers to partner with realtors, he said, “It is important that developers work on creating a Happy City – one that creates a favourable environment for residence and employment, on a large scale, to ensure that return on investments as well as demand, remain constant.”
Addressing the meet, Irfan Razaq acknowledged that new regulations in real estate sector has affected a few. “There are a few pain points. Instead of worrying, we should look at it as an opportunity. RERA has taught builders to adopt accountability, transparency and professionalism.”
The convention was attended by over 1,000 delegates from India and abroad and were hosted by the Bangalore Realtors Association - India (BRA-I).
