Indore: Three in police NET Rs 22 Lakh, 4 kg silver haul


The city police recovered over Rs 22 lakh which was being carried in three cars in Banganga and Lasudiya areas late on Tuesday night. Three persons were also arrested with about 4 kg silver from Lasudiya and two persons were arrested with seven cartons of IMFL in Banganga area. In the view of model code of conduct, a check drive was launched by Banganga police on the circle near Deepmala Dhaba on Sanwer Road. During the drive, the cops managed to stop a Skoda from which Rs 11,28,765 was recovered from one Mukesh Garg of Goyal Naga

Meanwhile, an Innova SUV was also stopped from which Rs 1.29 lakh was recovered from one Alok Rajput of Ujjain. They could not provide any document for the amount and the source to whom they were taking the money. The amount of Rs 12,56,765 was handed over to concerned department for further investigation. The police team at the same place also recovered 7 cartons of liquor from two persons named Rohi Rawat of Mahveer Nagar and Shyam Parmar of Scheme Number 51. They were booked under Excise Act by Banganga police.

Rs 10 lakh recovered from car
Lasudiya police station team also recovered Rs 10 lakh from a person in Talawali Chanda area on Monday. ASP Shailendra Singh Chouhan said a car was stopped in which cash was being ferried. The driver Santosh also tried to flee but was caught with Rs 10 lakh. During checking at the same place, police managed to recover silver ornaments weighing around 4 kg from Sawan of Pachor. He along with two friends and a pregnant woman were travelling in the car. The police after recovering silver, released a person and the woman from there while two of them are being questioned about the silver. They informed that they were taking silver ornaments from Sarafa but could not present any bill or document to justify their claim.
