Flying car manufacturer, cyber attack agent and a vertical farm consultant: The jobs of the future are revealed
- Report by international I.T. company Cognizant predicts jobs of the future
- Among them are flying car developer, cyber attack agent, and joy adjutant
- Up to half of all jobs could be at risk according to a 2013 Oxford University study
Technology is changing at a rapid rate and workers must adapt or risk losing their jobs, according to a report released this week.
Self-scanning checkouts are a common sight at Australian grocery stores, drones have begun to replace warehouse workers, and driverless cars may soon make truck drivers obsolete.
In fact, up to half of all employees could be at risk of losing their jobs in the next 15 years, according to an Oxford University study.
'Some old skills are losing their power in the market, while many new skills are a source of advantage,' the report by global I.T. company Cognizant released on Wednesday says.

The report details what new jobs may emerge over the next decade as technology continues to progress and replace employees, including a flying car designer, virtual identity defender, and a smart home design manager - charged with integrating technology into homes.
The role of joy adjutant also makes an appearance on the list of occupations, which aims at helping people find joy by de-cluttering their lives.
A Uni4Life coordinator will be tasked with helping graduates along their career path.
A tidewater architect will help cities plan for rising sea levels in the age of climate change.
Along these lines, vertical farm consultant also appears on the list - a role that would help cities establish farms connected to buildings such as skyscrapers.
Another predicted career path is cyber attack agent, based on the notion that espionage will be carried out primarily in a digital environment.

Conversely, virtual identity defender would be given the task of safeguarding our online lives.
'The number-one reason why work is changing so quickly is the vista of technology opening up before us,' the report says.
'A new digital prairie has appeared on the horizon, full of brilliant people solving unimaginably hard problems with brilliant technologies that are getting smarter and smarter.'
'Each of the jobs in our report is emerging at a time when the commercial value of human skills is being radically, and even brutally, reassessed.'
