Kiran Jadhav of Navy topped in the men’s air rifle event with a total of 249.9, two points ahead of Tejas Prasad of Karnataka, in the shooting national selection trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad, on Wednesday.
Tejas managed to take the top spot in the junior event with an impressive total of 251.9 while Yash Vardhan was No. in the youth event with an equally impressive 250.3, winning by a 0.4 point margin over Keval Prajapati.
In sports pistol, Chinki Yadav outclassed the rest, beating Neeraj Kaur by seven points in the fight for the No. 1 spot.
Tanu Rawal did well to clinch the junior honours with a two-point margin over Abhidnya Patil.
In 50-metre free pistol, Vijayveer Sidhu topped the junior event with 558, but was overtaken by Sib Kumar Ghosh (560) in the men’s section.
