Fake army man arrested in Odisha
TNN | Oct 24, 2018, 21:28 ISTBHUBANESWAR: Kharvel Nagar police and Military Intelligence Bhubaneswar team have arrested a fake army man for allegedly duping many job aspirants of lakhs of rupees. The team nabbed him from Paradeep on Tuesday.
The accused was identified as Anirudha Mishra of Tigiria in Cuttack district. He was serving as an operational manager in Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Paradeep, before his arrest.
“He was availing canteen facilities in both grocery and liquor card from Coast Guard CSD canteen. He was also found selling various expensive items purchased from Army CSD canteens and also had made fake identity cards, Army pension discharge book and personal pension order,” said a statement issued by the Army Intelligence Bhubaneswar.
The statement further said, “Mishra allegedly collected huge amount of money from various youths under the pretext of providing them with jobs in the IOCL in Ex-Captain Pratap Ghosh (retired) Security Agency under DGR scale.”
The Army Intelligence Bhubaneswar team and the Kharvel Nagar police have started investigating into the matter to know whether he operated alone or was a part of a criminal gang. He was forwarded to a local court.
