CBI vs CBI: Team probing case against Rakesh Asthana transferred

NEW DELHI: Following the appointment of Nageshwar Rao as new interim CBI chief after the internal feud between Alok Verma and special director Rakesh Asthana, the investigating agency has overhauled the team probing allegations of corruption against the officials. Here is the list of the transferred officials:
1. M Nageswar Rao, a 1986-batch Odisha cadre IPS officer, took over the duties and functions of CBI director late last night. He appointed Satish Dagar as Superintendent of Police to probe the bribery case, officials said.

2. Manish Kumar Sinha, HoB/DIG, AC-III and BS&FC, New Delhi transferred and posted as DIG/HoB, ACB, Nagpur in public interest. He was further directed to join his new place of posting immediately and relieve Vijayendra Bidari from additional charge of ACB, Nagpur.

3. Tarun Gauba, Range DIG & HoB. ACB, Chandigarh transferred and posted as DIG/HoB, AC-Ill, New Delhi with immediate effect.

4. Jasbir Singh, DIG/HoB, SC-I shall hold additional charge of HoB, BS&FC, Delhi with immediate effect.

5. Anish Prasad, DIG/SU-I posted as DD(Admn & Pers.) with immediate effect and accordingly he stands relieved from SU-I.

6. KR Chaurasia, DIG/HoB, EO-I shall hold additional charge of DIG/SU-I 5. with immediate effect.

7. Ram Gopal, HoB, SCB, Chandigarh shall hold additional charge of HoB, ACB, Chandigarh with effect.

8. Satish Dagar, SP, EO-Ill, New Delhi transferred and posted as SP AC-III, New Delhi with immediate effect.

9. Arun Kumar Sharma, JD(P), New Delhi transferred and posted as HoZ/JD, MDMA, New Delhi in public interest with immediate effect.

10. A Sai Manohar posted as HoZ/JD, Chandigarh Zone with headquarters at New Delhi with additional charge of SIT and TFC Zone in public interest with effect.

11. V Murugesan, HoZ/AC-II(HQ) Zone to hold additional charge of HoZ/JD AC-I (HQ), New Delhi, with immediate effect. He will continue to hold charge of HoB/E0-11 Branch, New Delhi.

12. Amit Kumar, DIG/HoB, E0-111, New Delhi shall hold additional charge of office of JD(P) with immediate effect.

13. A K Bassi, Dy SP, CBI, AC-III, New Delhi transferred and posted as Dy SP, CBI, ACB, Port Blair in public interest with immediate effect. He was further directed to join his new place of posting with immediate effect in public interest.

14. SS Gurm Addl SP CBI, AC-Ill, New Delhi transfered and posted in CBI, ACB, Jabalpur in the same capacity in public interest. He is further directed to join his new place of posting with immediate effect.
