Coimbatore: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Tamil Nadu assembly reviewed several ongoing projects here on Wednesday based on certain audit-objections notified by the Indian auditing department.

The meeting was presided over by DMK treasurer Duraimurugan at the district collectorate. On-going projects in several departments, including agriculture, forest, fisheries, highways, transport and revenue, were reviewed.

Speaking to reporters, Duraimurugran said it would be dangerous for the state if the Kerala government construct a new dam across Mullaperiyar. “The Kerala government did not give permission to construct a baby dam earlier and claimed that the dam would affect the environment. How did it obtain permission to construct a dam now,” he questioned.
