PURI: Six more persons, including two temple servitors, were on Monday arrested for their alleged involvement in the violence during Puri bandh on October 3. With this, the total number of those arrested in this connection has gone up to 92.  

The six persons, arrested on charges of arson, attack on police personnel and damage to public property were forwarded to the court of sub-divisional judicial magistrate and later remanded in judicial custody. However, those accused of planning the violence are still at large. 

During investigation, police had come to know that the pre-planned violence was orchestrated by some vested interests to oppose reforms in Sri Jagannath temple. Police have ascertained their identities and evidence is being gathered against them.
