Tamil Nadu will bear education cost of girl who discontinued her studies to educate her brother: CM

CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Tuesday came to the rescue of Sivaranjani from Kalithimbam village in Erode district, who discontinued her studies to educate her brother Hari Prashanth. He said the State will bear the educational expenses of both Sivaranjani and her brother. 

The girl, who was studying BA course at government arts college in Coimbatore, discontinued education after the death of her parents and started working in MNREGA scheme to ensure that her brother pursued his studies. In a TV interview, she narrated her ordeal and requested the State either to extend a government job or financial aid to continue her studies.
