102-year-old man charged with indecent assault of 94-year-old woman
A 102-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly indecently assaulted a 94-year-old woman in an aged care facility in Sydney’s east on Tuesday.
The elderly man was charged with aggravated indecent assault after he allegedly assaulted the woman at the Bupa Aged Care Facility Queens Park on Carrington Road, Waverley, where they are both residents.
Police will allege the assault took place around 12.30pm on Tuesday, when officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were called to the facility.
When contacted by the Herald on Wednesday, a staff member at the facility declined to comment, saying she was "not at liberty to discuss [the incident] because that is with the police".
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on November 20.
Bupa has been contacted for comment.
