Municipal Administration Minister reviews dengue preventive measures taken in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Municipal Administration Minister SP Velumani held a review meeting on dengue prevention measures taken across all local bodies in the State, on Tuesday. At the meeting where dengue prevention activities in the 12 corporations, 124 municipalities and 528 panchayats were discussed, the minister issued a set of instructions that included ensuring chlorine levels of 0.2 ppm in the drinking water. All traces of mosquito breeding are to be eliminated by conservancy workers, at the supervision of local body officials at 6 am, according to a release.
