Old Fall River police station damaged after car crash

Crash closes section of Bedford Street.

FALL RIVER — Police temporarily blocked traffic on Bedford Street in the area of High Street following a car crash that resulted in damages to the old police station.

The crash sent a truck into the old police station on Bedford Street, knocking a column by the front door out of place.

At least one person was seen being treated by rescue personnel.

The extent of injuries and damage to the building was not immediately known.
