Badhaai Ho box office collection day 5: Ayushmann Khurrana’s film had a fabulous opening weekend.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s comedy film Badhaai Ho had a phenomenal extended opening weekend. It managed to pocket an impressive Rs 45.06 crore in four days. The movie also stars Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. The film has received highly positive critical reviews and the love of audiences.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted out the box office figures of Badhaai Ho. He said, “#BadhaaiHo emerges a BIG FAVOURITE at the ticket windows… Has SENSATIONAL extended weekend… Thu 7.29 cr, Fri 11.67 cr, Sat 12.60 cr, Sun 13.50 cr. Total: ₹ 45.06 cr. India biz… Didn’t release in Madhya Pradesh due to cinema strike. Otherwise, the total would be higher.”

While #BadhaaiHo is a Hit in terms of economics, the weekdays ahead will decide two things: [i] Its lifetime biz and [ii] How big a Hit it will turn out to be… Nonetheless, badhaai ho to everyone involved with this film.

Adarsh further said the weekdays will decide the course Badhaai Ho’s future takes. He wrote, “While #BadhaaiHo is a Hit in terms of economics, the weekdays ahead will decide two things: [i] Its lifetime biz and [ii] How big a Hit it will turn out to be… Nonetheless, badhaai ho to everyone involved with this film.”

The Indian Express film critic Shubhra Gupta gave the film a positive review. She wrote, “What’s refreshing is the thing between Rao and Gupta: both emit the lived-in spousal awareness of the long-married couple which only sometimes bursts into flames. They are sheepish when outed yet dignified, and I liked that the decision of what-to-do-with-the-pregnancy stays with the wife. And that age has nothing to do with desire. The smiles Kaushik Seniors exchange could teach the young ‘uns, Khurrana and Malhotra, both efficient, a thing or two about getting it on. Yes, mummy and papa can.”
