Vadodara: Water supply to the eastern parts of the city will be affected on Wednesday and Thursday as the civic body will take up work on the smart water management project using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technology.

As a part of the project, VMC will be installing new valves at four places around the Sardar Estate on the Ajwa Road on Wednesday. The work will affect water supply from the Ajwa Road, Panigate, Nalanda, Gajrawadi and Sayajipura water tanks of the civic body.

Sources said that water will not be supplied from these water tanks on Wednesday evening and on Thursday morning. The supply will resume on Thursday evening.

The civic body has asked citizens in the affected parts to store sufficient water.
