Man ends life as business runs into loss
tnn | Oct 24, 2018, 00:38 ISTTirupur: Upset over the heavy loss incurred in business, a 44-year-old knitwear unit owner has committed suicide by consuming poison at his house at Mahavishnunagar on Pitchampalayam Road.
The deceased was identified as M Senthil. He is survived by his wife Kavitha and two children. According to police, he has a two-storeyed building at Mahavishnunagar. “They were living upstairs, while the knitwear unit was functioning out of the ground floor.”
Senthil had to shut the knitwear unit a few months ago as it was running in loss. Meanwhile, he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. On October 20, he left the house, saying he was going to a private hospital in Erode. As he did not return, his wife lodged a complaint with the Anupparpalayam police.
Police on Monday found that Senthil was in the house itself by tracing his mobile phone’s tower location. They later found him dead in a room in the ground floor of his building. tnn
