PITTSBURGH, Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "I am employed in the nursing field and have seen hospital and nursing home staff have difficulties transferring patients between beds and wheelchairs. In addition, the use of mechanical Hoyer lift devices are cumbersome and time consuming," said an inventor from Houston, Texas. "This inspired me to develop a safe and convenient means to transfer patients."
He developed the patent pending HANDI LIFT to prevent injuries among patients and health care workers. This simple and easy to use product would reduce the strength and physical effort to transfer a patient to and from beds, chairs and wheelchairs. It would be used with patients having mobility limitations or transfer challenges.
