Registrar of Tumkur University T.V. Venkatesha died due to cardiac arrest on Tuesday on the varsity premises here. He was 59 years old.
He was holding the post from August 14 this year. Before that, he was working as a professor in the department of chemistry in Kuvempu University, Shivamogga.
He had gone for a walk in the morning and after he returned to the guest house on the varsity premises he complained of uneasiness to the attender.
Even before the attender came into his room, he collapsed around 7.30 a.m. He was immediately taken to Siddaganga hospital where he was declared brought dead.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
