Science congress in January

The 31st Kerala Science Congress organised by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment and the Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute will be held at the Fathima Matha National College, Kollam, on January 27 and 28.

The congress will be based on the focal theme ‘Our environment, our future: The role of science and technology in the reconstruction of Kerala’.

Natural disasters

The discussions would focus on imbibing lessons from the recent floods and ushering in changes to mitigate natural disasters.

Lectures by eminent scientists, presentation of research work, papers by young scientists, interaction between students and scientists and a Children’s Science Congress are some of the highlights.

Registration is open up to November 20.
