Ford recently previewed five crossover concepts for SEMA, but they don’t hold a candle to this 1966 Bronco from United Pacific Industries.

Set to debut later this month, the restomod was built by Maxlider Brothers Customs to highlight United Pacific’s replica body panels for the 1966 to 1977 Bronco. As a result, the SUV has new sheet metal which faithfully echoes the original Bronco.

While the Bronco retains its classic looks, the model rides on a custom suspension with Fox coilover shocks. The SUV also has Bronco Graveyard bumpers, extender fender flares and power running boards. Designers also installed sequential LED taillights and 33-inch BF Goodrich KM2 tires which are backed up by Wilwood disc brakes.

Power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine sourced from Ford Performance. United Pacific didn’t mention performance specifications, but the model has been equipped with a BC Broncos Coyote kit which adds new engine mounts, an upgraded cooling system and a new exhaust.

The engine is mated to a heavy duty 4R70W transmission and an Atlas 2 transfer case from Advance Adapters. Other mechanical upgrades include Currie axle housings, Yukon differentials and new driveshafts.

While the exterior styling in certainly retro, the cabin has modern touches such as air conditioning and an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. Other highlights include custom leather seats, a four-point roll cage and new gauges. There is also an Icon 4×4 center console and a Flaming River steering column which presumably has a tilt function.
