Travelling during the festive season can be expensive - but it doesn't have to be.
There are multiple ways you can earn at least 20,000 frequent flyer points before Christmas, with Point Hacks revealing the nine high-earning non credit card hacks that Australian airline reward enthusiasts swear by.
'You can really think of this as bonus money to spend on flights, because our hacks prove that you don't need to spend more to earn points,' Daniel Sciberras, Point Hacks' spokesperson and frequent flyer expert, said.

Earn up to 2,000 points when booking an Uber
Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn 2,000 Qantas Points when they link or set up an Uber account via the Qantas app, then take a trip using Uber.
Alternatively people can earn one to three Qantas Points when booking an Uber to or from eligible Australian airports using the Qantas app.
Earn up to 20,000 points on your mobile phone plan
Signing up or upgrading to a Vodafone Plus Plan, selected Red Plan or selected 12-month SIM Only Plan online can earn people up to 20,000 Qantas Points.
Customers can earn two points per $1 spent on eligible Vodafone Postpaid Mobile Phone, Mobile SIM or Mobile Broadband plans until 31 October 2019.

Earn 1,200 points for eating out once a fortnight
Qantas has a restaurant booking portal that allows customers to choose from 4,000 restaurants across Australia.
Each time people book at Qantas Restaurants they will earn 100 points per diner.
If someone chooses to eat out with their partner once a fortnight in three months they'll earn 1,200 points.
Triple rewards at supermarkets
If people hold a Coles personal insurance policy they can earn one extra flybuys point for every $1 they spend at Coles.
For instance, if they hold two Coles insurance policies they'll earn three flybuys points for every $1 spent.
If someone spends $500 a month on their grocery shopping they'll earn 4,500 flybuys points, which is worth almost 2,000 Velocity Points.
Earn 500 points filling up your car
If customers become a velocity member they can earn two Velocity Points per litre bought or $1 spent in-store at participating BP service stations.
Spending $80 a month on petrol will earn people 480 points.
Earn at least 450 points for movies or music
Becoming a HOYTS Rewards Bronze member means people are able to earn one Qantas Point for every $2 spent on tickets or snacks.
If they purchase tickets for concerts and major events with a red 'P+' icon through the Ticketek website they can earn 1 Velocity Point per $1 spent.
People can also earn two Qantas Points per $1 spent on iTunes through the Qantas Mall website.

Becoming a HOYTS Rewards Bronze member means people are able to earn one Qantas Point for every $2 spent on tickets or snacks
Take a domestic trip before Christmas and earn 2,000 points
It's important that travellers input their airline rewards membership number when booking flights as a Sydney to Melbourne return flight can earn people 1,600 Qantas Points.
For every $1 spent on a Virgin Australia flight they can earn five Velocity Points – that's 2,000 points for a $400 return flight.
People can also earn four Qantas Points for every $1 spent on Avis and Budget car rentals when booking through the Qantas Store and a Velocity Global Wallet can earn people two Velocity points per $1 spent if they're overseas before Christmas.
Earn up to 10,000 points when you switch your home energy plan
If people sign up for a Qantas Red Plus energy plan and link their Frequent Flyer number their electricity and gas can earn 10,000 and 5,000 points respectively.
Plus they can earn up to seven points per $1 spent on their bills.
Customers can earn 10,000 flybuys points if they switch to AGL Energy and link their flybuys membership, plus one flybuys point for every $1 spent on their bill.
The flybuys bonus alone will translate to 4350 Velocity Points.
Refinance your home loan and earn 3,000-150,000-plus points
Velocity members will earn 1,000 points per loan account per month when they sign up to the Virgin Money Reward Me Home Loan through the Velocity website.
If someone is a Qantas Frequent Flyer member and they apply for a home loan with Macquarie Bank they can earn 80,000 bonus points upon application.
It doesn't stop there as they can earn 10,000 points for every $100,000 drawn down at settlement and 1,000 points each month.
