Netflix has confirmed Sacred Games season 2.
Streaming giant Netflix has decided to continue its collaboration with Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane after an “independent investigation.”
The future of the show was in jeopardy after it was revealed that Vikas Bahl, a partner of Kashyap and Motwane at Phantom Films, was accused of sexual assault by a female employee. Phantom Films was dissolved after the allegations came into light. Bahl has filed defamation suits against Kashyap and Motwane.
The statement released by Netflix reads, “After an independent investigation, the results helped inform Netflix’s decision to continue with Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap on season 2 of Sacred Games. We continue to collaborate with our production partners to ensure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment.”
“Netflix will continue to work with Varun Grover on season 2 of Sacred Games,” the statement continued.

Sacred Games Season 1 was based on the Vikram Chandra novel of the same name. It was directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane and written by Varun Grover, Smita Singh and Vasant Nath. It starred Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and so on. It received positive critical reception, both in India and abroad. It holds a 90% rating at Rotten Tomatoes. The consensus reads, ” Gorgeous, grim, and unexpected, Sacred Games is saved from its procedural premise by its dense plotting and superb cast.”
