Father and son serial killers disfigured and murdered at least four women after luring them to their deaths by posing as drug dealers in Brazil

- His father Edson Soares, 47, is said to have aided him at least once
- Father and son reportedly posed as drug dealers in Votorantim, southeast Brazil
A pair of father and son serial killers lured women to their deaths by posing as drug dealers before disfiguring their victims' faces then brutally murdering them, police claimed today.
Everton Junior Soares, 27, is believed to have killed at least four women in Votorantim, southeast Brazil.
Investigators claim his father, Edson Soares, 47, helped his son butcher at least one of his female victims in a murder spree which gripped the town for three years.

Soares Jr, a local bricklayer, was finally caught in February after a fifth woman who managed to escape was able to describe her attacker.
Soares Snr was later also arrested after police found CCTV footage of both father and son befriending one of the women hours before she was found brutally murdered in December last year.
A witness also described seeing both men returning home with their clothes 'soaked in blood', according to reports.
Known by his nickname 'The Mexican', Soares Jnr is believed to have picked out his female victims before offering drugs to lure them to abandoned buildings and vacant lots where they would meet a gruesome death, according to investigators.
All of the women died from head injuries caused by blows from rocks or planks of wood, while three of the victims had their faces disfigured and two also had their faces set alight, police said.

Detectives believe the impotent 27-year-old 'sought sexual pleasure' in brutally murdering the women. Most of the victims were found naked.
All of the women's bodies were found within a one-mile radius of the home where the father and son lived in the Vila Garcia district of the town in Brazil's state of Sao Paulo.
Police chief Dr Marcelo Carriel, in charge of the investigation, said: 'He was unable to get an erection.
'For this reason, he would kill women in a violent way, apparently driven by hatred.
'He would tried to insert sharp objects into the victims, like pieces of wood. He would disfigure or burn their faces. He apparently felt pleasure in attacking his victims and watching them suffer.'
He described Soares Jnr as 'cold, violent and without any regret, the classic signs of a psychopath. He calculated the murders and prepared the victim for slaughter.
'His method was always the same, the way he would attract them and the way he would kill them.'
'At no moment has he showed any regret for his crimes. If he hadn't been arrested he would not have stopped killing.'
The first woman believed to have been killed by Soares Jnr was Jessica Pereira, 30, who was still alive when she was found in May 2014 but died of her injuries before reaching hospital.

His second victim, Roseangela Silva, 40, died in April 2015 and the third, Lucia Tuma Fukami, 52, was found in an abandoned construction site in March 2017, next to the rock used to kill her.
Mara de França, 44, was found dead in December last year in a sports court, hours after being taken to a bar by Soares and his father. She was half naked and her face had been partially burned.
Police achieved a breakthrough in the case after a fifth woman came forward claiming Soares had paid her for sex but, when he wasn't able to consummate the act, demanded his money back before putting a knife to her stomach and threatening to 'do the same to you I did to Jessica.'
Since the father and son were arrested, the killings have stopped, Dr Carriel said.
Soares, who is being held at Sao Paulo's Itirapina penitentiary, has denied killing the women. Questioned about the murders by the press as he was transferred to prison following his arrest, Soares claimed: 'It's all lies. I never did it.'
Prosecutors today charged Soares Jnr with four counts of aggravated femicide, which carry a penalty of at least 80 years in jail.
Soares Snr remains in jail while investigations continue into his alleged participation in the murders, according to reports.
